Getting Ready for the Holidays!
My little reindeer
I have always had a "rule" that you cannot take out Christmas decorations or put up the tree prior to Thanksgiving. Well, I changed my mind this year. As Ryder started to recognize all the Christmas decorations in store and neighboring houses, he questioned where our Christmas stuff was! Then my Aunt Mary mailed us some new Christmas ornaments and Ryder begged for the tree to go up. Soooo... early Sunday morning we pulled everything from storage and put the tree together! A full 5 days before Thanksgiving. I cannot beleive I did that!

My baby boy is THREE!!!!
Seriously, where does time go? I cannot believe that Ryder is now THREE. Just yesterday I held him in my arms and he was a teeny tiny 6 pound little thing. Now is walking talking, potty trained, little man. I love him with all my heart. Happy Birthday little "Roni". XOXOXO

Playing in the Rain.. in AZ!
So, it sometimes rains here!! Ryder & Serenity decided to go play in the rain... in their jammies & robes. They were so cute I couldn't resist. And this opportunity only comes up a few times a year (rain that is), I had to let them have at it!

Camping, again!
As we near the end of summer for northern Arizona, we squeezed in one more camping trip. While northern AZ was about to experience fall & winter, we folks down in Phoenix will enjoy 100 degree temps through most of October. Joy. Anyways.... Kasey's sister's family the Nish's (Sheri, Adam, Serenity), Kasey's mom Jeri, and Kasey's sister Jackie joined the three of us on this trip to the Prescott Valley area. This was the first time Serenity & Ryder camped together. Funny thing, I thought it would be EASIER to have the two camp together because they are so good at playing with each other. In hindsight, I think I was wrong! They actually fought quite a bit. In between the fights they did have fun, I will admit! Oh well, we had a great camping trip anyways.
Campfire time:
Ryder & Serenity were having "art time" which quickly turned from painting on paper to painting themselves & each other. They looked like little indians covered in war paint when it was all said and done!
The little, dirty, indians eating dinner in the tent because it started to rain on us. Luckily it was a short rain and we enjoyed rest of the night out side of the tent.Kasey & Adam tried fishing quite a bit but didn't catch a thing. The kids enjoying the lake:Sunday, September 6, 2009
