Week #27 - Baby Boy #2 Adventure

Week 27!!!

Size of baby? almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended.
Total Weight Gain? AHHH! 13 pounds this time, per the doc @24 weeks. I am probably at about 15 lbs now I think.

Maternity clothes? Yes.

Sleep? Not so great... having a hard time being comfortable in any position. And I still have 3 more months to go?! Yikes.

Best moment this week? I'm not going to lie, this week was rough. Just really uncomfortable, the baby was less active which freaked me out. I'm hot hot hot (it was 116 here this week!).

Food cravings? Bakery stuff like cinnamon rolls, brownies, etc.

What I miss? Feeling energetic enough to be social. Wine. (this really doesn't change ever!)

What I'm looking forward to? this baby being born!! I am uncomfortable.

Milestones: This is the last official week of the 2nd trimester!! Next week I'm in the third and final trimester, wow.

What's next?: Sep 6th... next OB appt and next ultrasound to check on his kidney.

Emotions: Starting to get anxious about preparing for the baby. Drug boxes out of storage from when Ryder was a baby but haven't gone through them yet.

Symptoms: Achy body. Moderate swelling in my feet at the end of the work day.

From babycenter.com:
How your baby's growing:
This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.
